Rev. Anne Godbold, Senior Pastor
If you're looking for a worship experience that invites you to actively participate in a wonderful, joyful and satisfying way, then join us for worship each Sunday morning!  We love worshipping the Lord!  Our service features the singing of hymns and music presented by our Chancel Choir.  Communion is served the first Sunday of each month, and is open to all.
We use our multimedia system to project important news and information, and hymnal lyrics and scriptures from the day's lesson.  Here at Mariner UMC you have a choice to read from the screen or from your Hymnal or Bible.
There is a special children's message during the service, and afterwards children through elementary age may leave to attend children's church and Sunday School in Van Dyken Hall. Or if you choose, they may remain in church with their parents.
During the summer months from June to August, when many of our friends migrate back north, we are more relaxed.  We often have special music in place of the choir singing an anthem.
So come see if we're a fit.  We believe if you try us, you'll like us!
We here at Mariner United Methodist Church are a Christ-centered congregation, where there is a place for you no matter what your background is or where you are on your spiritual journey.  Our doors are open to people from all walks of life.  You will find that this is a place where you will be loved, because the heart of God is to love others and we desire to be like him.
Our church simply wants to share the love of Jesus Christ with our congregation and the community we serve.  Not only do we explore our faith in Jesus Christ, and learn ways to grow as his disciples, but we also are discovering ways to help relieve human suffering in our community.
Each Sunday, we meet to praise
God through wonderful worship, prayer time, meaningful teaching and uplifting music.  We trust that you will feel a sense of peace, strength, hope and joy as we gather together as part of the family of GodOur prayer is that you can find a Church Home here at Mariner and will come to know that with God's help and the support of this "family" you can face whatever challenges life may bring.  Together we endeavor to grow deeper in our faith, have opportunities to build genuine friendships and to work together in outreach in our local area and the world.
So whether you are investigating Christianity for the first time or are a committed Christian who wants to grow spiritually as a disciple of
Jesus, there is a place for you at Mariner United Methodist Church.  We look forward to welcoming you at the place where we are:
